At 8:35 PM EST the First Quarter Moon Phase is exact with the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Pisces.
Today, Friday (12/10/2021), the strongest vibrational influence comes from the Sun and Venus joining with Pluto (2*). Today’s vibrational pattern is about joining with one or more other persons in exploration and interaction seeking to understand the world around you. This is a very active vibration but it is also cooperative. There is a sense of the importance of relating in ways that are considerate and respectful of other people’s feelings. The focus here is on your feelings of attraction to beauty, the feeling that touches your soul when you see something beautiful. There is a sense today of something lighting up your world. This is a special time to do art. It also may be a time when you feel an especially strong attraction to another person. These feelings are only likely to last a month or two, so be aware of that.

Dec 10 – Dec 12 (exact Dec 11) Mercury in Sagittarius is sharing freely (sextile) with Jupiter in Aquarius. This vibe begins to influence us around 10 PM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 2:24 PM on Dec 11 then decreasing fading out around 7 AM on Dec 12. This vibration is working on seeing the big picture, recognizing the greater patterns that are influencing all of us and helping each of us see how we are fitting into this greater pattern and what our contribution is to the unfolding patterns of this time.
Dec 8 – Dec 28 (exact Dec 11, 25) Venus in Capricorn is joining with Pluto in Capricorn. This vibe is increasing in influence until it peaks at 11:28 PM on Dec 11, backs off and peaks again Dec 25, then decreases fading out around 5 AM on Dec 28. This vibration is about intense compulsive feelings of attraction. This is especially strong as it goes on both before and during the Venus Retrograde. There is a sense of beauty that is so compelling, it is irresistible. Be aware that intense attractions you feel during this time and likely to fade after this pattern finished.
The Moods of the Moon.
{Remember that the quicker Moon patterns impact our moods and feelings for a short window of time around 4 hours, 2 hours each side of the exact position.}
Starting at 4:22 AM, peaking at 6:22 AM, the Moon in Pisces is sharing freely (sextile) with Uranus in Taurus. This 4 hr period brings spontaneous impulsive sharing with others. There is a need for the freedom to do what feels right to you in the moment.
At 8:35 PM, the Moon in Pisces is acting and agitating (square) with the Sun in Sagittarius. This is the First Quarter Moon Phase. See the Cyclic Patterns Diary for more information.
Starting at 8:50 PM, peaking at 10:50 PM, the Moon in Pisces is joining with Neptune in Pisces. This 4 hr period takes you into your dreams and visions, that which transcends the everyday world. If you have a place that feels magical and wonderful to you, this is the time to be there.
The Cyclic Patterns Diary

At 8:35 PM EST the First Quarter Moon Phase is exact with the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Pisces. This will be influencing us for a week until the Full Moon on December 18. This vibrational pattern takes us to the depths of our beings giving us the chance to discover the beauty in our depths and the beauty of our connection to all that is. There is a challenge here to connect in with the primary essences of our beings. This vibrational pattern is reaching out and exploring and interacting, seeking to connect and build understanding and act based on this greater awareness. It also contains a lot of sensitivity to what is happening to those around us. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “Men Cutting through Ice” which is about cutting through the frozen patterns within you and releasing the underlying emotions and feelings so you can deal with the issues involved before they become disasters. The Moon Symbol is “A Table set for an Evening Meal”. This is about opening up in gratitude and giving thanks for what you have, trusting the greater whole that you will receive what you need each day.
On December 4, a New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred with the Sun and Moon in Sagittarius. This is the final event of this eclipse season. It will be influencing us at least until the start of the next Eclipse Season on April 30, 2022. There is a special emphasis in this Eclipse on evaluating the patterns we are living by. It is especially important to consider the strengths and weaknesses of the ways that we have been understanding the world. There is a restlessness and a need to move out and find a different world that will work more effectively and be more satisfactory. The Sabian Symbol for the Eclipse is “A Widow’s Past brought to Light”. This is about facing your past actions, the destructiveness, and blindness that you have been involved in and taking responsibility for them. The emphasis is on working on the distorted patterns within you, making amends, and forgiving yourself and others so that you can make a new beginning.
On November 19, a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurred with the Moon in Taurus opposing the Sun in Scorpio. This is the start of this eclipse season and this vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the next Eclipse Season starts on April 30, 2022. This Vibrational Pattern involves the Sun and Moon especially strongly interacting with Mercury. This shows that emotional patterns and history will be very important during this next 5 months. There is a focus on creating programs, concepts that are acceptable to everybody involved. There is also an awareness of the needs of people and how they are or are not being met. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “The King of the Fairies approaching his Domain” which points to the importance of understanding your true essence, the domain within the core of your being where you’re truly and confidently in command of yourself. If you are not in touch with the core of your being you may try to use control to prove your superiority. The Moon Symbol is “A Woman pursued by Mature Romance”. This is about participating in a mature type of love that involves a greater awareness of your interconnectivity to others. There is a warning to not closing down to love because you are being guided by social expectations of what love means and what types of love are permissible.
The Fall Equinox occurred on September 22 as the Sun entered Libra with the Moon in Aries. This vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the Winter Solstice on December 21. This vibrational pattern has a strong emphasis on the way the past is affecting us. There is the potential to get a broader understanding of how we are being influenced by the past and the potential for sudden insights and shifts to occur. There is a need to reconcile the past with the present and to face the way we have been being influenced by past patterns. The Sabian Symbol for the Moon is “The Gate to the Garden of Desire” which is about getting up the courage to move into a new state even though you don’t know what dangers and revelations you may have to face. There is a danger in withdrawing that you will never be able to reach your dreams.
