At 3:31 PM EST on January 21, the Third Quarter Moon occurs with the Moon in Scorpio and the Sun in Aquarius.
Yesterday and today, Tuesday (1/21/2025), the strongest vibrational influence comes from the Sun joining with Saturn and Pluto (2*). This vibrational energy pattern is seeking to accomplish things in ways that are in harmony with the other people involved. It will analyze its motives and adjust them as needed to reach its goals and sometimes it will plan for years before putting its plan into action. In all cases it is going to figure out what is essential, what is of fundamental importance and it is going to focus on that and discard any trivial aspects of the situation. For two days now this vibrational energy pattern is better and more effectively implemented by tuning into the universal patterns and using them as your model to form earthly substances. There is a call to be open to changes that may even change the nature of your project as you adjust your development based on your attunement to the universal patterns.

The Two Planet Diary

Jan 20 – Jan 26 (exact Jan 23) Mars in Cancer is sharing freely (sextile) with Uranus in Taurus. This energy is increasing in influence until it peaks at 10:10 AM on Jan. 23 then decreasing fading out around 5 AM on Jan. 26. This vibrational energy pattern is very spontaneous, able to respond quickly in the moment to whatever needs to be done, making quick adjustments and adaptations in order to continue reaching towards the goal.
Jan 20 – Jan 22 (exact Jan 21) the Sun in Aquarius is joining with Pluto in Aquarius. This energy is increasing in influence until it peaks at 7:28 AM on Jan. 21 then decreasing fading out around 7 AM on Jan. 22. This vibrational energy pattern brings an intense sense of mission where you are focused on what you have to do and determined to do it whatever the cost.
Jan 17 – Jan 21 (exact Jan 19) Mercury in Capricorn is sharing freely (sextile) with Venus in Pisces. This energy is decreasing fading out around 2 AM on Jan. 21. This vibrational energy pattern brings a sense of beautiful communication that you share with others that you are close to.
The Moods of the Moon
{The Moon patterns only last a short period of time. They impact our moods and feelings for around 4 hours, 2 hours each side of the exact position.}
Starting at 9:33 PM yesterday, peaking at 11:33 PM yesterday, the Moon in Libra is acting and agitating (square) with Mars in Cancer. In this 4 hr period you may find yourself more prone to be emotionally worked up. Doing something active will use the energy in a constructive way. Take a walk even if it’s just around the block or down the hall, do some squats, run in place, anything that uses the excess energy that is floating around right now.
At 11:20 AM the Moon enters Scorpio For the next 2 ½ days the Moon in Scorpio can tend to get very emotionally intense. The desire is to merge with the people you are involved with and with the projects you are working on. This can be uncomfortable for those not used to it as you can feel like you are being swallowed up. If it gets too much, just step back for a couple of minutes and take a breath, or even take a walk around the block to help you temporarily disconnect.
Starting at 12:50 PM, peaking at 2:50 PM, the Moon in Scorpio is acting and agitating (square) with Pluto in Aquarius. In this 4 hr period you may feel a need to act based on deep feelings within you that may come to the surface at this time. Ask yourself whether you are responding to the past or the present. Try to not put ancient feelings on the people you are currently interacting with.

At 3:31 PM EST on January 21, the Third Quarter Moon occurs with the Moon in Scorpio and the Sun in Aquarius. This Vibrational Pattern will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 29. This vibrational energy pattern has a lot of nostalgia in it. There is a sense of obsession with the beauty of the past. It is as if the beauty of things from the past is considered to be the essential essence of the current situation. There is a real sense with this quarter moon of uncertainty, of not knowing what the future will bring and having to make important decisions without that information. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A Deserter from the Navy”. This is about discovering that the organized structures for dealing with life are too narrow and inadequate. You recognize that you must operate based on the awareness and sense of connection within you, refusing to be subject to outside authorities. Be aware of the consequences of your actions and then do what you feel is right for you to do. The Symbol for the Moon is “A House-Raising”. This is about the entire community generously gathering and harmoniously participating in the building of a house for you. This is about the community providing help so that the individuals can start their life out right.
On January 13, the Full Moon occurred with the Moon in Cancer and the Sun in Capricorn. This Vibrational Pattern will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 29. This vibrational energy pattern is very energetic with a drive to take actions that will follow your dreams and a strong need to be free and to act from your own freedom in the moment. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “An Oriental-Rug Dealer”. This is about seeing the value of the genuine, precious, beautiful and useful essence within the core of each person including yourself. The symbol for the Moon is “A Dark Shadow or Mantle thrown suddenly over the Right Shoulder. This is about opening to a connection that overshadows you. There is a sense of a greater authority that is calling on you to transcend ego and logical rationalization and open to spiritual power. Your challenge is to learn to assume responsibility for using the power that has been given to you wisely and with humility.
On December 30, the New Moon occurred with the Sun and Moon in Capricorn. This Vibrational Pattern will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 29. This vibrational energy is about taking impulsive actions based on what you are attracted to. There is a tendency to operate out of your internal sense of what you need to do to respond in uncertain situations without regard for the ideas of others. At the same time you are likely to be involved with other people and what is happening in their lives. Your response to these situations may well be unique and surprising. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is “An Albatross feeding from the Hand”. This is about facing the aspects of yourself that might feel like burdens or curses and becoming aware of the fears that lie below them. You are called to seek to redefine and nurture these disturbed aspects of yourself as you recognize and embrace your common linkage with all creatures. Recognize that sometimes you need to let go of your familiar patterns and reach beyond yourself.
On December 21, the Sun entered Capricorn. This is the Winter Solstice and this pattern will be influencing us until the Spring Equinox on March 20. This vibrational energy includes energies for emotional expansion. There is a focus on internal work and awareness where you evaluate and develop your internal self. The process would be to eliminate superficial energies from within yourself and to work on deepening your internal awareness and connections. The Sabian Symbol for the Winter Solstice is “The Germ grows into Knowledge and Life”. Here you find a germ of potential understanding within you and you work on developing and growing that new awareness, expanding your knowledge and connection with life. There are potential problems if you let your insecurity keep you from opening up to the broader truths in the situation.
On October 2, the New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred with the Sun and Moon in Libra. This pattern will be influencing us until the next New Moon Solar Eclipse on March 29, 2025. This vibrational energy pattern shows a strong need for the freedom to express yourself as you feel inside. This involves the development of your own unique pattern of expression being within your culture but free to operate as who you truly are with the awarenesses you have developed. If this is blocked there is likely to be a strong sense of dissatisfaction where you join with others and reach out seeking to find another more satisfactory place. The Sabian Symbol for the Solar Eclipse is “A Professor peering over his Glasses” which encourages you to move beyond your normal mode of perception to perceive a more comprehensive reality where others are viewed kindly, seriously and with respect.. The challenge is to not get caught up in a superior position that distorts your perception and leads to you seeing others as inferior to you where they need to be bossed around for their own good.
On September 17, 2024, a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurred with the Moon in Pisces and the Sun in Virgo. This pattern will be influencing us until the next Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on March 14, 2025. This vibrational energy pattern brings a focus on dreams and ideals that last past death. This is about tuning into the long term patterns of unfolding evolving awareness that transcend the resistance of the moment. There is a major focus in this eclipse on evaluation of your motives and drives to be sure you are getting the result you want. There is also a balancing of your individual view of life against what works for everyone else. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A Boy with a Censer” which involves learning how to expand your awareness and accept responsibility for both yourself and your interactions with others by modeling yourself after those who are more spiritually experienced and developed. The Moon Symbol is “A New Moon that divides its Influences” which involves learning how to operate effectively in both the spiritual and the earthly realms based on a new vision and finding your unique way to respond to that vision. If you do not realize that everyone is connected you may start feeling alone and isolated.
