Today, Thursday (1/21/21) the strongest vibrational influence comes from the Moon joining with Mars and Uranus (6*). This vibration is about sudden emotional actions that you take in some area of your life. It could be that something unexpected happens to you or that you find yourself doing something impulsively that you really didn’t expect to be doing. This could be in a wide variety of areas, it could be an internalized experience that happens when you or by yourself. It could also be an exploration in the world that brings about something unexpected perhaps with you ending up someplace you didn’t expect to be. This can also involve shared experiences where you and one or more other people do something totally different from what you normally do. Whatever kind of experience this is it has the potential to open up something inside of you like a light dawning or a eureka moment where you achieve a new level of understanding.

Jan 19 – Jan 26 (exact Jan 23) Mars in Taurus is acting and agitating (square) with Jupiter in Aquarius. This vibe is increasing in influence until it peaks at 2:49 AM on January 23 then decreasing fading out around 4 PM on January 26. This vibration is acting in big ways, determined to expand and grow. There may be the potential to expand beyond effective boundaries getting so big you become non functional.
Jan 18 – Jan 22 (exact Jan 20) Mars in Taurus is joining with Uranus in Taurus. This vibe is decreasing fading out around 3 PM on January 22. This vibration is about spontaneous action, impulsive action in the moment. This is very unpredictable energy that can sometimes be violent. Take especial care on the 20th to avoid aggressive encounters and to not start fights.
Jan 13 – Jan 22 (exact Jan 17) Jupiter in Aquarius is acting and agitating (square) with Uranus in Taurus. This vibe is decreasing fading out around 1 AM on January 22. This vibration is about big sudden actions that are driven by the feelings of the moment, not by any sense of expectations or responsibilities. This can be very light and buoyant and delightful. Thus this can sometimes bring about good social interactions.
The Moods of the Moon

Starting at 1:36 AM, peaking at 3:36 AM, the Moon in Taurus is joining with Uranus in Taurus. This 4 hr period can bring some sudden unexpected emotional feelings that may possibly be difficult to handle. Double check your actions if you can as there is some potential for an accident.
Starting at 2:08 AM, peaking at 4:08 AM, the Moon in Taurus is joining with Mars in Taurus. This 4 hr period is very active and energetic. You may find yourself acting on your emotional feelings without realizing the implications or consequences of your actions.
Starting at 3:15 AM, peaking at 5:15 AM, the Moon in Taurus is acting and agitating (square) with Jupiter in Aquarius. This 4 hr period is expansive and optimistic bringing a desire to act in big all encompassing ways.
The Cyclic Patterns Diary

On January 20 the First Quarter Moon occurred with the Sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Taurus. This vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the Full Moon on January 28. This quarter Moon has a lot of volatile energy connected with it which brings a potential for violence. There is however a modulating factor that many many people are seeking and needing peace and love and caring where we all support each other. This brings the potential for things to go either way. Spiritual Inspiring Visionary communication will help to bring this into a more peaceful loving expression. I’m going to list the two Sabian Symbols for this quarter moon in full here.

We are being challenged here to open up to the new awarenesses illuminating our minds and hearts and face ourselves and our internal patterns each of us that need to be faced and transformed in order to move into a more loving world.
On January 13, the New Moon occurred with the Sun and Moon in Capricorn. This energy will be influencing us until the next New Moon on February 11. This vibration is focused in each person in their own evaluation of what is happening in the world around them. Each person is especially prone to act out of their internal sense of reference and ideas about themselves, the world, and life in general. This is a time when people are not open to the ideas of those around them and are unlikely to be influenced by others. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is “A Woman entering a Convent”. This speaks to letting go of your own personal needs in order to be of service to others seeking a deeper, and more effective connection to the universal spirit of life. Take care not to neglect yourself and hide away so others will feel sorry for you.
On December 21 the Winter Solstice occurred as the Sun enters Capricorn. This sets the pattern for the next three months. And with the Jupiter Saturn conjunction today this sets the patterns for the next 20 years. There is a potential here for a new pattern to form that brings a sense of hope that we haven’t felt in a while. This involves facing the ways we act out of the darkness within us in confusion and pain and letting a new sense of light come in to clear out the pain and bring new life. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at every Winter Solstice is “An Indian Chief demanding Recognition” which points to the importance of each of us connecting in with a sense of inner security that brings us into our inner authority which lets us listen comfortably to others and give way when appropriate. This is combined with the Moon Symbol “An Inhabited Island” which helps us to connect deeply into ourselves this winter and recognize our own boundaries as we learn to balance our needs against the needs of those around us.
This current Eclipse season ended on December 14, 2020 and the next eclipse season will begin on May 26, 2021. The current eclipse season will be influencing us until the next one begins. The current eclipse cycle involved a push for action based on feelings of dissatisfaction. This is combined with an awareness of the importance of being true to ourselves and that our true self is tuned into a greater reality of which we are a part, something greater than ourselves that we participate in. This is a call to open up to that greater reality, become one with it and be transformed by this experience.
The Retrograde Diary: DEGREE CHANGES: Mercury

{During the apparent retrograde period each planet’s movement relative to the backdrop of the stars slows down, reverses and then turns back around forward again concentrating its vibration in a particular area. There are issues that each planet focuses on during the period leading up to its turn backwards.
