Today, Wednesday (8/18/2021), the strongest vibrational influence comes from the Moon joining with Mercury and Mars (2*). Today’s vibration is about relating to others and to the world in a smooth free flowing probably harmonious way. There is an awareness of the history of current events and how it is affecting us emotionally. This brings a need to do something to be more effective and more successful. This is combined with a desire to learn what is really going on and to figure out how to apply it in one’s life. There is a lot of potential here as well as a potential for creative exploration seeking to meet one’s needs. This is one of those days when the energy is so broad based that there will be a lot of different responses to the energy present as it will potentially resonate with different areas in different people.

Aug 18 – Aug 20 (exact Aug 19) the Sun in Leo is opposing Jupiter in Aquarius. This vibe begins to influence us around 11 PM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 8:28 PM on Aug 19 then decreasing fading out around 6 PM on Aug 20. This vibration is about expanding your personal relationships and meeting new people. This is a good time for social interactions and social parties.
Aug 18 – Aug 19 (exact Aug 18) Mercury in Virgo is joining with Mars in Virgo. This vibe begins to influence us around 1 AM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 11:27 PM on Aug 18 then decreasing fading out around 11 PM on Aug 19. This vibration is very energizing to the mind. There is a desire to learn new things and especial interest in figuring out how things work. This is a great time to work on learning something new.
The Moods of the Moon.

At 1:58 AM the Moon enters Capricorn and you may find yourself less emotional and more objective than at other times. If you realize that this is the point in the Moon’s cycle when objective evaluation is appropriate, then you can use this time to review the last month and see what you have learned and what you need to work on.
Starting at 4:27 AM, peaking at 6:27 AM, the Moon in Capricorn is acting and agitating (square) with Venus in Libra. This 4 hr period brings a need for close connections with others. This is when you need to be with those you are closest too.
Starting at 9:37 PM, peaking at 11:37 PM, the Moon in Capricorn is flowing freely (trine) with Mars in Virgo. This 4 hr period is very energetic. There is a lot of energy here for exercise, sports and physical projects.
Starting at 9:38 PM, peaking at 11:38 PM, the Moon in Capricorn is flowing freely (trine) with Mercury in Virgo. This 4 hr period brings the emotions and the reasoning into balance and harmony. This is an excellent time for getting special projects done.
The Cyclic Patterns Diary

On August 15 the First Quarter Moon occurred with the Sun in Leo and the Moon in Scorpio. This vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the Full Moon on August 22. Neptune is more strongly featured on a base level showing that the focus this week is on your dreams and visions and how to bring them into operation in your life. There is a recognition the each person is special with their own special gifts and that it is important for us to join together and help each other more effectively express the special gifts we have. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “An untidy, unkept man” which calls us to not be bound to surface issues but to see the truth that is there at a deeper level. Appearances are likely to be misleading at this time. The Moon Symbol is “Crowds coming down the Mountain to listen to one Man”. Here you are challenged to bring your insights and inspirations to a sharp focus, evaluating what is practical and effective while still taking into account whether the thoughts and ideas of others need to be included in your calculations.
On August 8 the New Moon occurred with the Sun and Moon in Leo. This vibration will be influencing us until the next New Moon on September 6. Both Uranus and Saturn are interacting with the New Moon although Uranus is much stronger. This indicates a tendency to act spontaneously this month without thinking about the consequences. There is a strong need for freedom to do what you want to do when you want to do it. This is like an echo of the energies we will be dealing with around Christmas when Saturn and Uranus will be interacting intensely. This vibration also involves a sense of the importance to interacting with the other people in your community. There is a potential here to learn some new things and expand your connections with others. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun and Moon is “A nonvested Church Choir”. This is about beginning to interact with others in a relaxed and open way learning how to work effectively together in unified action. There is awarning about being overly critical of others that this comes from feeling threatened and could result in you losing your connections with your community.
On June 20, the Summer Solstice occurred as the Sun enters the sign of Cancer. This vibration will be influencing us until the Fall Equinox on September 22. There is potential for expansion and growth this summer. The summer energy contains a sense of moderation involving acting in a considerate harmonious way but there will likely be some change, some action to open up to new patterns and ways of operating. A strong Sabian Symbol for the summer is “A Fellowship Supper” which refers to reaching out to others, sharing companionably with them, forming, and renewing feelings of fellowship and bonding, breaking through feelings of alienation all for the purpose of healing your lines of connection. If you refuse to reconnect with others out of fears of facing and dealing with past issues and old secrets, you may have a sense of having lost some important part of yourself.
On June 10 a New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred with the Sun and Moon in Gemini. This finishes the Eclipse Season and these patterns will be influencing us until the start of the next Eclipse Season on November 19. This Solar Eclipse is especially working on our mental patterns. It brings a focus on the mind and how your dreams and visions of life are being reflected in your experience. It is about exploring the world and interacting with what is around you in playful and creative ways. There is the potential here for discovering new relationships and connections with the people and the environment around you. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun and Moon is “A Cafeteria” which focuses on the abundance of choices available to you in your world and your opportunity to select which of these choices is right for you, which will nourish you and your life. When you know what is right for you then you need to deliberately select it, pay for it and make it a part of your essence. It is important that you only take what you truly need, leaving the rest for others.
On May 26 a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurred with the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Sagittarius. This vibration will be influencing us until the New Moon Solar Eclipse on June 10. This is the start of the Eclipse Season. This vibration is focused on taking action and doing the things that it is essential for you to do to express yourself authentically. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “Drilling for Oil” which refers to you digging down into the ancient strata looking for that which has been formed deep within you. You recognize the pressure that these old structures generate and seek to release the energy that is bound up in these deep patterns. There is a warning not to scatter your energy in superficial pursuits that will let you avoid the deep work that is called for at this time. The Moon Symbol is “A Game of Cricket”. This refers to the process of learning the rules of interfacing with the physical and spiritual realms and following these rules so you can effectively play the game. It cautions against acting arbitrarily, refusing to play by the rules of the game and that if you do you will likely receive harsh reactions and perhaps be rejected by others.
The Retrograde Diary: DEGREE CHANGES TODAY: Saturn
Turning Backward of Uranus; Reworking of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune: Turning Forward of Pluto
{During the apparent retrograde period each planet’s movement relative to the backdrop of the stars slows down, reverses and then turns back around forward again concentrating its vibration in a particular area. There are issues that each planet focuses on during the period leading up to its turn backwards. These issues are addressed again to be reworked on during the retrograde period [in brackets] then a new understanding of these issues occurs during the post retrograde period.
