Today, Wednesday (01/18/2023), the strongest vibrational influence comes from the Sun joining with Jupiter and Pluto (2*). This vibrational energy is restless and dissatisfied. It is not happy with what it is experiencing around it. It feels that it must go searching for something more, something better, something more satisfying. It is likely to join with others who feel the same way and go seeking together. There is a sense of needing to grow and expand. Life feels too constricting; the scope of awareness is too limited. It is necessary to expand your vision and operate in a grander manner. Look around you, see what seems too narrow, too tightly focused, too limited and ask yourself how we can expand this and make it more all-encompassing. (For VA Students: 11, 22)

Jan 17 – Jan 19 (exact Jan 18) the Sun in Capricorn is joining with Pluto in Capricorn. This vibe is increasing in influence until it peaks at 9:44 AM, then decreasing and fading out around 10 AM on Jan. 19. The deep patterns that have been buried within you may well surface during this vibration. You have the capability right now to step back and look at these patterns objectively. You may realize that certain patterns from the past are very important to you being the person you were meant to be and certain patterns from the past are blocking you from being that person. This is a good time to dig those patterns out and examine them and release the ones that do not serve your best interests. This vibration brings an intense sense of purpose and mission, the feeling of something you just have to do. It is important to evaluate where these feelings are coming from and to seek to work in the higher more idealistic side of yourself. There are powerful energies at play here that can stir up the heart and soul.
The Moods of the Moon
{The Moon patterns only last a short period of time. They impact our moods and feelings for around 4 hours, 2 hours each side of the exact position.}
Starting at 12:39 AM, peaking at 2:39 AM, the Moon in Sagittarius is opposing Mars in Gemini. In this 4 hr period you have a lot of energy that can be shared with others in group projects or group activities like sports or exercise. It is important to guide this energy into positive channels that flow through you so that you can use it constructively.
Starting at 8:05 PM, peaking at 10:05 PM, the Moon in Sagittarius is sharing freely (sextile) with Venus in Aquarius. In this 4 hr period you especially want to experience loving interactions with those that you are closest to, those with whom you feel a soul connection.

On January 14, the Third Quarter Moon occurred with the Moon in Libra acting and agitating (square) with the Sun in Capricorn.This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the New Moon on January 21. This vibrational energy is very intense. There may be a need to rethink and reevaluate previous positions. This is a time when you could open your mind and learn something significant. There is an awareness here of a mystery behind life that does not give us simple answers. And at this time there is a sense of the importance of recognizing that it is ok to not have all the answers. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “An oriental-rug dealer”.This is an opportunity to learn to see the value of the genuine, precious, beautiful and useful essence within the core of each person including yourself. The challenge is making sure you are not operating on superficial levels where you’re failing to see the true value of yourself and those around you.The Sabian Symbol for theMoonis “Information in the symbol of an autumn leaf”.This is an opportunity to see fundamental truths revealed with their camouflage removed and recognize that life transcends the apparent reality of life and death. Avoid focusing on the ephemeral cyclical processes of life and death and believing that that is all that there is.
On January 6, the Full Moon occurred with the Moon in Cancer opposing the Sun in Capricorn.This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 21. This vibrational energy is focused in the mental patterns and the communication we have with each other. The mind is going to be moving and responding very quickly as it is involved in depth analysis of the situations it is encountering. There is a potential here for the strengths and the weaknesses of current personal, social and cultural situations to show up under this aspect pattern. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A girl surreptitiously bathing in the nude”.This is an opportunity to remove yourself from the control or power of others and covertly open yourself to greater contact with all that is around you. Make sure you are not suppressing your natural instincts based on fear of the reactions of others.The Sabian Symbol for the Moon is “The germ grows into knowledge and life”.Here there is an opportunity to grow the germs of understanding that you have found into knowledge and a living vitality that transcends your expectations. Try not to take the understandings you have discovered and see them as the answer missing the broader implications that are present.
On December 23rd, the New Moon occurred with the Sun in Capricorn conjunct with the Moon in Capricorn. This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 21. This vibrational energy treasures old patterns and traditions and is devoted to the mother. There is a flow of analysis in this pattern that just deepens it and helps us all appreciate the essentials that are present. This is about sharing community energy together in a loving way. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is “Three stained-glass windows, one damaged by bombardment”. This symbol is about repairing the damage done to love and beauty by aggressive violence, healing the deep wounds and blockages within you, gaining the strength and openness to accept love within yourself and give it to others. If you’re unable to tap into this energy, you may start feeling obsessively afraid, damaged and totally vulnerable, without protection, having no place to run or hide.
On December 21, the Winter Solstice occurred as the Sun enters Capricorn. This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the Spring Equinox on March 20. This vibrational energy brings a sense of spontaneous joy on the surface. On a deeper level there is an awareness of the importance of community and concern for the places where community fails and people fall through the cracks. There seems to be a strong emphasis, this season, on finding ways to more effectively respond to those among us who are not being supported by community in a good way. The Sabian Symbol for the Winter Solstice is “A jockey”. It comes from the relationship of the Sun to the Moon and it means you are learning how to pace yourself and evaluate your situation then move forward quickly when the time is right, recognizing that the process is more important than the outcome. Try not to rush ahead without thought, getting carried away; seeking to win at all costs and finding that you run out of steam before you have completed your work.
On November 8, the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurred with the Sun in Scorpio opposite the Moon in Taurus. This is the end of this eclipse season and this vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the next Eclipse Season starts on April 20, 2023. This vibrational energy is seeking to get to the true or fundamental essence helping each person discover the unique essence within them and realize how amazing and beautiful it is. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A woman the father of her own child”. This symbol is about giving birth to yourself as a conscious spiritual being connected in with the greater reality around you. The challenge is not to move into feelings of being alone and abandoned which may force you into an unwanted independence without support. The Moon Symbol is “A battle between the swords and the torches”. This might lead you into engaging in a battle between the forces of light, awareness & love and the forces of domination & control with the light shining in and revealing the strongly held distortions that must be defeated. It is important to claim your power and not surrender to the domination and control of others.
On October 25 the New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred with the Sun and Moon in Scorpio. This is the start of this eclipse season and this vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the next Eclipse Season starts on April 20, 2023. This vibrational energy brings a sense of the importance of listening to the stories of others. There is a drive towards expanded action seeking to respond to the stories and the needs you encounter in the people around you. This involves a sense of reaching for the fundamental beauty in others that you can see more clearly at this time. The Sabian Symbol for the eclipse is “A house-raising”. This symbol is about being involved in building a new structure for yourself with the entire community generously gathering and harmoniously participating in the process according to their skills and abilities. This is a reminder that others help make our lives work right. Take care not to refuse the help of others because of a lack of trust or an excessive sense of independence related to fear of being controlled. Also be aware that you may have a belief that you do not deserve help or do not have the right to ask for help. This is your own issues. We all need help at times.
The Retrograde Diary: NO DEGREE CHANGES TODAY >> Introductory Period for Pluto: Turning forward of Mercury, Mars, Uranus: Resolution of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto {During the apparent retrograde period each planet’s movement relative to the backdrop of the stars slows down, reverses and then turns back around forward again concentrating its vibration in a particular area.
