The Vibrational Astrology Diary
by Linda Berry*
The New Moon occurs at Midnight as January 13th commences with the Sun and Moon in Capricorn.
Today, Wednesday (1/13/21) the strongest vibrational influence comes from the Sun and the Moon joining with Pluto (3*). This vibration is about extremely intense perhaps compulsive obsessive emotional feelings that are operating on many levels. There will be a tendency today for the reactive emotional feelings inside people to dominate over and perhaps override rational thought and analysis. There is a lesser strength vibration that helps to balance this out a bit. The Moon, Jupiter, Saturn helps to keep the emotional energy from escalating to the level it might otherwise escalate to, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be intense and possibly out of control, it just means that without Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, it could be even worse. Additionally this is the energy of the New Moon which means we will continue to feel it at least to some extent for the next month. So what can a person of good will do to help. To whatever extent you are able, meditate on Jupiter, Saturn and help to strengthen it. Also the Mars, Saturn Neptune which is also fairly strong works to help you act in ways that are beneficial in the long run and this energy can also be meditated on seeking to help. This is something that can help for this entire moon cycle.

The Dancing Two-Planet Diary
{When 2 planets interact it influences the way we want to express ourselves, our attitudes, moods, and impulses. Becoming aware of these vibrations helps us to guide these aspects of ourselves with awareness rather than being controlled by them. There are longer patterns which tend to have more impact because we feel them for several days in a row and there are quick Moon patterns that impact our moods and feelings for a window of couple of hours either side of the time given. The longer patterns are stronger and so are listed first, followed by the Moods of the Moon}
Jan 13 – Jan 22 (exact Jan 17) Jupiter in Aquarius is acting and agitating (square) with Uranus in Taurus. This vibe begins to influence us around 12 PM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 5:49 PM on January 17 then decreasing fading out around 1 AM on January 22. This vibration is about big sudden actions that are driven by the feelings of the moment, not by any sense of expectations or responsibilities. This can be very light and buoyant and delightful. Thus this can sometimes bring about good social interactions.
Jan 13 – Jan 15 (exact Jan 14) the Sun in Capricorn is joining with Pluto in Capricorn. This vibe begins to influence us around 10 AM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 9:19 AM on January 14 then decreasing fading out around 10 AM on January 15. This vibration brings an intense sense of purpose and mission, the feeling of something you just have to do. It is important to evaluate where these feelings are coming from and to seek to work in the higher more idealistic side of yourself.
Jan 13 – Jan 14 (exact Jan 13) Venus in Capricorn is flowing freely (trine) with Uranus in Taurus. This vibe begins to influence us around 1 AM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 7:22 PM then decreasing fading out around 2 PM on January 14. This vibration is about sudden feelings of attraction that just seem to flow into you. Enjoy, but be aware that these feelings often flow out as easily as they flow in.
Jan 11 – Jan 13 (exact Jan 12) Mercury in Aquarius is acting and agitating (square) with Uranus in Taurus. This vibe is decreasing fading out around 1 AM. This vibration focuses on the mind which will be moving very fast and perhaps erratically. There is the possibility of new insights into situations but you need a notebook as the mind will likely not be focused enough to remember any special ideas it tunes into.
Jan 10 – Jan 15 (exact Jan 13) Mars in Taurus is acting and agitating (square) with Saturn in Aquarius. This vibe is increasing in influence until it peaks at 6:02 AM then decreasing fading out around 11 PM on January 15. This vibration evaluates what actions will be effective in reaching your long-term goals and then goes out and does what it needs to do.
The Moods of the Moon
{Remember that the quick Moon patterns impact our moods and feelings for a window of a couple of hours either side of their peak time.}
At 12:00 AM on January 13, the Moon in Capricorn is joining with the Sun in Capricorn. This is the New Moon. See the Cyclic Patterns Diary for discussion of it.
Starting at 12:22 AM, peaking at 2:22 AM, the Moon in Capricorn is joining with Pluto in Capricorn. This 4 hr period is about intense emotional feelings that come out of deeply buried past issues and hurt. These can surface at this time and bring an excessive reaction in current situations. If you realize that this is past issues surfacing you may be able to stop the current over-reaction and do something to change the deeper pattern.
At 11:44 AM the Moon enters Aquarius and becomes focused for the next 2 ½ days on participating in group processes. We are all a part of many groups including our family, our friends, our community, our country and our world. The Moon in Aquarius finds satisfaction in being a part of its groups and contributing to the functioning and well being of those groups.
Starting at 3:11 PM, peaking at 5:11 PM, the Moon in Aquarius is joining with Saturn in Aquarius. This 4 hr period is about evaluating your behavior looking at what are the patterns that have long-term consequences. There is a tendency to eliminate more trivial or short-term behaviors from your actions at this time.
Starting at 3:29 PM, peaking at 5:29 PM, the Moon in Aquarius is acting and agitating (square) with Mars in Taurus. This 4 hr period is very energetically charged and needs to be directed in a constructive way into physical projects, sports or exercise.
Starting at 7:54 PM, peaking at 9:54 PM, the Moon in Aquarius is joining with Jupiter in Aquarius. This 4 hr period is expansive and buoyant. This is a time of optimistic emotional feelings and a desire to reach out and connect with new and different people/
Starting at 9:29 PM, peaking at 11:29 PM, the Moon in Aquarius is acting and agitating (square) with Uranus in Taurus. This 4 hr period is more oriented towards freedom to do what you want to do, what you feel like doing in this particular moment. If you do not check the safety of what you are doing for just a quick moment this can sometimes lead to an accident.
The Cyclic Patterns Diary
{These are patterns that continue over an extended period of time and you may find that rereading this periodically will help you effectively handle what we are all experiencing as our “astral weather” in this time period.}
At Midnight at the beginning of January 13, the New Moon occurs with the Sun and Moon in Capricorn. This energy will be influencing us until the next New Moon on February 11. This vibration is focused in each person in their own evaluation of what is happening in the world around them. Each person is especially prone to act out of their internal sense of reference and ideas about themselves, the world, and life in general. This is a time when people are not open to the ideas of those around them and are unlikely to be influenced by others. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is “A Woman entering a Convent”. This speaks to letting go of your own personal needs in order to be of service to others seeking a deeper, and more effective connection to the universal spirit of life. Take care not to neglect yourself and hide away so others will feel sorry for you.
On December 21 the Winter Solstice occurred as the Sun enters Capricorn. This sets the pattern for the next three months. And with the Jupiter Saturn conjunction today this sets the patterns for the next 20 years. There is a potential here for a new pattern to form that brings a sense of hope that we haven’t felt in a while. This involves facing the ways we act out of the darkness within us in confusion and pain and letting a new sense of light come in to clear out the pain and bring new life. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at every Winter Solstice is “An Indian Chief demanding Recognition” which points to the importance of each of us connecting in with a sense of inner security that brings us into our inner authority which lets us listen comfortably to others and give way when appropriate. This is combined with the Moon Symbol “An Inhabited Island” which helps us to connect deeply into ourselves this winter and recognize our own boundaries as we learn to balance our needs against the needs of those around us.
This current Eclipse season ended on December 14, 2020 and the next eclipse season will begin on May 26, 2021. The current eclipse season will be influencing us until the next one begins. The current eclipse cycle involved a push for action based on feelings of dissatisfaction. This is combined with an awareness of the importance of being true to ourselves and that our true self is tuned into a greater reality of which we are a part, something greater than ourselves that we participate in. This is a call to open up to that greater reality, become one with it and be transformed by this experience.
The Retrograde Diary: NO DEGREE CHANGES TODAY
Introductory contact for Pluto, Turning Forward Uranus, Neptune: Resolution of Pluto
{During the apparent retrograde period each planet’s movement relative to the backdrop of the stars slows down, reverses and then turns back around forward again concentrating its vibration in a particular area. There are issues that each planet focuses on during the period leading up to its turn backwards. These issues are addressed again to be reworked on during the retrograde period [in brackets] then a new understanding of these issues occurs during the post retrograde period. These issues are not from Vibrational Astrology, this is an experiment based on interpretations of the Sabian Symbols that I wrote many years ago. If an entry resonates with you, then claim it, if not, release it, it was for someone else. I would very much like your feedback on this. Points of especially concentrated energy are marked with “!”}
