Mars turns direct today at 3:56 PM EST.
Yesterday and today, Thursday (01/12/2023), the strongest vibrational influence comes from Mars joining with Saturn and Uranus (1*). This vibe has a lot of contradictions in it. It is seeking to be deep and quiet and dwell in the stillness, but the process keeps getting disrupted. There is a type of potentially explosive impulsivity at the core of this energy that is prone to go out and act even to rebel against expectations and demands. At the same time there is a great need to do something meaningful that has long term implications. The tension between these two can be challenging to handle. The balance between these energies becomes actions of disciplined spontaneity or spontaneous insights about what to do when considering your questions or issues in depth. Jan 12 – Jan 14 (exact Jan 13) the Sun in Capricorn is sharing freely (sextile) with Neptune in Pisces. This vibe begins to influence us at around 9:30 AM and is increasing in influence until it peaks at 9:11 AM on Jan. 13, then decreasing and fading out around 9:30 AM on Jan. 14. This vibration is involved with your dreams for your life and your sense of the visionary or dream realms. You are likely to be looking at how these patterns are showing up in your life and in your world and whether you want to adjust some of your dreams to get closer to what you really want. You may feel tuned into how you can make these dreams and visions part of your daily life. Beware that this vibe is more focused on what you like to imagine your life could be like than on what you are actually dealing with in the here and now. Comparing the two will give you ideas about how to make your current life more like your desired life. You may experience shared experiences that are magical and amazing. These are the types of experiences you dream about, and they may be things that are so special to you that you will remember them for the rest of your life. Or this is about having a dream of your own suddenly start working in your life. You may experience a sense that there is more to life than the everyday humdrum reality and seek to share with others something that is amazing and wonderful. There is an ability here to see the beauty and the vibrant life in everything around you.
The Moods of the Moon
{The Moon patterns only last a short period of time. They impact our moods and feelings for around 4 hours, 2 hours each side of the exact position.}
Starting at 4:07 AM, peaking at 6:07 AM, the Moon in Virgo is flowing freely (trine) with the Sun in Capricorn. In this 4 hr period your mood and emotional feelings are likely to be balanced and soft and you are just more likely to feel in harmony with yourself. This is a good time to engage in projects you need to do.
Starting at 6:21 AM, peaking at 8:21 AM, the Moon in Virgo is opposing Neptune in Pisces. This 4 hr period brings a feeling of dreaminess and vagueness as you are more connected into your dreams than into the everyday realities around you. This is a good time to share your dreams with someone you are close to.
Starting at 4:06 PM, peaking at 6:06 PM, the Moon in Virgo is flowing freely (trine) with Pluto in Capricorn. In this 4 hr period deep feelings within you that you have buried could affect your mood. Be aware that you may be reacting to the past rather than the present. Ask yourself if you have felt this way in the past and when and with whom. Be prepared to walk away from a situation if you get triggered.
At 9:56 PM, the Moon enters Libra.The Moon in Libra for the next 2 ½ days will tend to focus on the nature of your interactions with others.The Libran Moon wants to relate to others as equals and to respect others and to be respected by those around you. Encouraging this type of interaction will be beneficial to everyone.

On January 6, the Full Moon occurred with the Moon in Cancer opposing the Sun in Capricorn.This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 21. This vibrational energy is focused in the mental patterns and the communication we have with each other. The mind is going to be moving and responding very quickly as it is involved in depth analysis of the situations it is encountering. There is a potential here for the strengths and the weaknesses of current personal, social and cultural situations to show up under this aspect pattern. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A girl surreptitiously bathing in the nude”.This is an opportunity to remove yourself from the control or power of others and covertly open yourself to greater contact with all that is around you. Make sure you are not suppressing your natural instincts based on fear of the reactions of others.The Sabian Symbol for the Moon is “The germ grows into knowledge and life”.Here there is an opportunity to grow the germs of understanding that you have found into knowledge and a living vitality that transcends your expectations. Try not to take the understandings you have discovered and see them as the answer missing the broader implications that are present.
On December 23rd, the New Moon occurred with the Sun in Capricorn conjunct with the Moon in Capricorn. This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the next New Moon on January 21. This vibrational energy treasures old patterns and traditions and is devoted to the mother. There is a flow of analysis in this pattern that just deepens it and helps us all appreciate the essentials that are present. This is about sharing community energy together in a loving way. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is “Three stained-glass windows, one damaged by bombardment”. This symbol is about repairing the damage done to love and beauty by aggressive violence, healing the deep wounds and blockages within you, gaining the strength and openness to accept love within yourself and give it to others. If you’re unable to tap into this energy, you may start feeling obsessively afraid, damaged and totally vulnerable, without protection, having no place to run or hide.
On December 21, the Winter Solstice occurred as the Sun enters Capricorn. This vibrational energy will be influencing us until the Spring Equinox on March 20. This vibrational energy brings a sense of spontaneous joy on the surface. On a deeper level there is an awareness of the importance of community and concern for the places where community fails and people fall through the cracks. There seems to be a strong emphasis, this season, on finding ways to more effectively respond to those among us who are not being supported by community in a good way. The Sabian Symbol for the Winter Solstice is “A jockey”. It comes from the relationship of the Sun to the Moon and it means you are learning how to pace yourself and evaluate your situation then move forward quickly when the time is right, recognizing that the process is more important than the outcome. Try not to rush ahead without thought, getting carried away; seeking to win at all costs and finding that you run out of steam before you have completed your work.
On November 8, the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurred with the Sun in Scorpio opposite the Moon in Taurus. This is the end of this eclipse season and this vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the next Eclipse Season starts on April 20, 2023. This vibrational energy is seeking to get to the true or fundamental essence helping each person discover the unique essence within them and realize how amazing and beautiful it is. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A woman the father of her own child”. This symbol is about giving birth to yourself as a conscious spiritual being connected in with the greater reality around you. The challenge is not to move into feelings of being alone and abandoned which may force you into an unwanted independence without support. The Moon Symbol is “A battle between the swords and the torches”. This might lead you into engaging in a battle between the forces of light, awareness & love and the forces of domination & control with the light shining in and revealing the strongly held distortions that must be defeated. It is important to claim your power and not surrender to the domination and control of others.
On October 25 the New Moon Solar Eclipse occurred with the Sun and Moon in Scorpio. This is the start of this eclipse season and this vibrational pattern will be influencing us until the next Eclipse Season starts on April 20, 2023. This vibrational energy brings a sense of the importance of listening to the stories of others. There is a drive towards expanded action seeking to respond to the stories and the needs you encounter in the people around you. This involves a sense of reaching for the fundamental beauty in others that you can see more clearly at this time. The Sabian Symbol for the eclipse is “A house-raising”. This symbol is about being involved in building a new structure for yourself with the entire community generously gathering and harmoniously participating in the process according to their skills and abilities. This is a reminder that others help make our lives work right. Take care not to refuse the help of others because of a lack of trust or an excessive sense of independence related to fear of being controlled. Also be aware that you may have a belief that you do not deserve help or do not have the right to ask for help. This is your own issues. We all need help at times.
The Retrograde Diary: DEGREE CHANGES TODAY: Mercury — Mars turns direct today at 3:56 PM EST. >> Introductory Period for Pluto: Reworking of Mercury, Uranus: Turning forward of Mars, Neptune: Resolution of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto {During the apparent retrograde period each planet’s movement relative to the backdrop of the stars slows down, reverses and then turns back around forward again concentrating its vibration in a particular area. There are issues that each planet focuses on during the period leading up to its turn backwards.
